Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday that the time had come to hold the looters of national wealth accountable and recover the pilfered public money.
While addressing a party meeting in Raiwind, Nawaz said that every single penny looted by corrupt politicians should be returned and deposited back in the national exchequer.
The twice-elected former prime minister said that his party would make the country a “welfare state” after coming to power.
Nawaz pledged to reconnect the “development process” from the point where it had been disrupted by his nemesis General (r) Pervez Musharraf, who overthrew his government in a bloodless military coup on October 12, 1999.
The PML-N chief further said that due to the selfish and anti-masses policies of the sitting Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)-led government, the countrymen were not getting benefits of the restored democracy.
He said that the sitting political leadership had plundered the national exchequer with both hands, and that it had proved itself as the worst-ever democratic government in the country’s history.
Nawaz also urged PML-N activists and office bearers to accelerate efforts for reorganising the party, and make arrangements for upcoming general polls. He claimed that the PML-N’s credibility was increasing with each passing day, and that it would regain power after general polls. He said the entry of other parties’ renowned politicians in the PML-N was a solid proof of its increasing popularity.

  3. He should be nominated for an Oscar award in the category of Best Villian in Foreign Political Theater. I hope he win, too. HAHAHAHA

  4. His immoral daughter was sleeping with a army captain in his house while he was the prime minister. I should have banged her when I had the oppurtunity 🙂

  5. Crime has increased at a staggering rate in Lahore. Every other day, one hears news of break-ins, thefts, car snatching incidents, muggings and even murder. Nobody seems safe when almost everyone you know has had one of the above happen to them sometime in their lives. I remember when Lahore was a peaceful, safe place, where one could leave their front gates open and cars unattended. Now, doors are bolted shut and people hardly venture out on foot. When I was growing up, my parents and I would enjoy leisurely walks in our neighborhood every evening. Families indulging in this same, innocent activity nowadays is a phenomenon one barely gets to witness. Since when has beautiful Lahore become a zone overrun by criminal elements and angry mafias? Will the Punjab government stop over investing on its showmanship and start paying attention to the law and order situation? I do not care much for large-scale bus services when I have trouble trusting the security provided to me by the provincial government.

    • O what r u saying? Nawaz is himself a bigger corrupt than Zaradri. How will he eradicate corruption. His politics is sunk in corruption. Look at PMLN govt in Punjab. Every scheme is replete with corruption. PMLN raises noise on corruption just to cover its own reign of loot in Punjab
