As many as 900 members of the Parliament and provincial assemblies avowed that they do not have dual citizenship, media reports Thursday.
Talking to media, Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan said the commission has received thus far statements on oath from 900 members of Senate, National Assembly and four provincial assemblies that they have no dual nationality.
Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan noted November 9 is the deadline for the submission of affidavits as over 250 members of the Parliament and provincial assemblies have not as yet submitted their statements regarding their dual citizenship.
