10 militants killed in army operation in Khyber Agency

At least 10 militants were killed and six others injured when army helicopters targeted militants’ safe havens located Khyber Agency on Thursday.
According to details, Army helicopters pounded four hideouts of suspected militants in Tirah valley area of Khyber agency, a restive semi-autonomous at Pakistan-Afghan border.
Security forces continued operation against the militants in Teeera Valley area of Khyber agency on Thursday.
The exact time of the army operation was not reported. Identities of the killed militants are also not known yet.
Meanwhile, the security forces arrested more than 1000 suspected persons during operation in last five days.
Khyber Agency is home to different militants groups including Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Islam, these militant groups are at odds with each other to gain the absolute power in the area. They also launch attacks at army and peace militiamen who are deployed in the area to maintain law and order situation.
Earlier on October 18, eight militants were killed, seven others injured and four militant hideouts destroyed when the Pakistani military launched an air strike over militant hideouts in the same area.
