Punjab Governor Latif Khosa on Wednesday called on Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) President Senator Shujaat Hussain and senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Parvez Elahi at their residence. During the meeting, views were exchanged regarding the overall situation in Punjab. They also discussed the forthcoming by elections being held to fill the vacant seats of the National and Provincial Assemblies. On this occasion Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa said that PPP’s alliance with PML-Q is not temporary.
He said that not only will the two parties contest together to defeat opponents but will also continue this alliance in the general elections.
Shujat Hussain and Parvez Elahi maintained that they entered into alliance with the Peoples Party not for personal interests but in the larger interests of the nation.
