A child died in a road accident on Tuesday and the police arrested female robbers. According to reports, a collision between a jeep and a motorbike in the area of Sohayasil, where a family on motorbike was badly injured and their child died on the spot. The husband and wife were rushed to the hospital by witnesses. In another report, the Defense police arrested two female robbers from the area of Main Boulevard Main Market at Lahore Defence. The report said that two women entered a gold shop along with their childen and robbed gold. When the shop owner saw the CCTV footage, he caught them and handed them over to the area police. During investigation, the women confessed to many robberies in the city. The police shifted them to the jail for further investigation. Separately, a robbery incident took place in the house of Wasif Iqbal, a lawyer by profession, resident of B-Block Faisal Town. The robbers broke into the house and took Rs 50,000 cash, important documents, gold worth Rs 500,000 and other valuables and escaped. The report said that Wasif Iqbal went to Narowaal for Eid with his family. The area police filed an FIR on the request of Wasif for further investigation.
