UCI warns Idris Khawaja from posing as PCF president

The international cycling Union (UCI) has asked Idris Haider Khawaja to stop posing himself as the President, Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) .
A spokesman of PCF said here on Tuesday that in continuation of his illegitimate efforts to get control of PCF by unlawful and fraudulent means, Idris approached UCI for his recognition as President PCF.
“The UCI authorities advised him to keep away from any such claim as UCI only recognizes the one and only legal PCF body led by Munawar Baseer Ahmed as its legitimate President and Syed Azhar Ali Shah as the Secretary,” he said while showing an email of UCI addressed to PCF regarding Idris Haider. The UCI has also informed Idris to stop using the letter pad of PCF for his correspondence, otherwise the UCI will impose sanctions against him.
All PCF units, affiliated bodies, Regional, Zonal, District and Tehsil level Cycling organizations are advised to immediately stop all correspondence with the illegal and bogus set-up led by Idris, he said.
“Any Cycling unit, body, or organization which does so, will be subject to disciplinary action by PCF, which may include suspension or cancellation of its affiliation,” he said.
