The Karachi police in their on-going drive against criminals arrested 129 accused from different areas of the metropolis during the past four days, said a police statement on Tuesday. According to details, those arrested included 40 absconders and proclaimed offenders. The statement said that there were nine police encounters with the alleged criminals during which two policemen sustained injuries. As many as 74 pistols, three rifles and 16 mobile phones were recovered from the possession of the accused. It was further stated that police have registered cases against the accused and started investigations.
