Reiterating government’s commitment to hold elections, Federal Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira ensures the nation of holding national general elections on time.
“Interim government will take place the spot from present government on March 19, 2012,” the minister said while talking to Norwegian ambassador at his residence.
“How could one delay the elections in presence of independent judiciary and media.”
The Information Minister said achievements gained by the PPP government cannot be wasted by postponing the general elections.
He said it goes to the credit of the present government to raise the Pakistan case at the each available forum.
Kaira said the federal government has not taken any revenge against any one. He asked the world to recognize the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the war on terrorism.
