SC’s intervention

Supreme Court has once again posed a serious question on the eligibility of this government yesterday when they order OGRA to slash CNG prices by one third. This is a huge relief to public and middle class would appreciate it that at least there is one institution left in this country who cares about its people. In any country other than Pakistan, I am sure the elected government must have stepped down to admit its entire failure to run the state.
The people’s government should seriously think about this scam and come up with more relief to the public as everyone knows that CNG cartel, with the help of our bureaucracy, was fleecing public for years. The least they could do is to fix CNG price at Rs 30 for next six months and ask CNG owners to bear the loss as they had fleeced millions of wealth from the poor of this country in the past.
I am hopeful Supreme Court would also intervene the other cartels’ fleecing like electricity, petroleum and gas for domestic consumers.
