US Ambassador-designate to Pakistan Richard Olson has said that he respects the important role played by Pakistan in the region and in the world. He made the remarks in an introductory video to introduce himself to the people of Pakistan. There may have been challenges, but fundamentally Pakistan and the United States share common interests and values, Olson said in the video message. He said he was looking forward to working with the people of Pakistan in order to broaden and deepen the ties between the two countries.
