The DHA vigilance department has augmented the efforts of police in maintaining secure and peaceful environment in DHA. A statement here on Wednesday said the DHA mobile vans patrol different areas in DHA round the clock and after getting information of any untoward incident in the area, swiftly reach the scene to thwart the crime. In this regard, the DHA area mobile recently got information that four armed dacoits had entered House No. 132/II, 15th Street, Khayaban-e-Bukhari, Phase-VI in DHA. The area mobile of DHA vigilance rushed to the scene within no time for the help of residents. On seeing DHA vigilance, the dacoits wanted to flee from the house. However, DHA vigilance apprehended one of them while three of the dacoits managed to run away. The dacoits looted four cell phones and a cash of Rs 118,000 from the owner of the house on gunpoint. A pistol, a knife and a motorcycle (KEL-5349) were recovered from the apprehended dacoit. The arrested accused was later handed over to Darakshan Police along with the recovered items. DHA Administrator Brig Muhammad Abdullah appreciated the efficiency and dedication to duty of Vigilance Guards.
