Ameer Jamaat e Islami Pakistan Syed Munawar Hasan has termed the visit of Ameer of Qatar Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to Gaza as highly appreciable and courageous.
In a statement here, he said that the 1.8 million people of Gaza were being victimized for the last four and a half years for no cause. The Zionist state of Israel was holding a siege of the Gaza only because the Gaza people were Palestinians and were not willing to give up their civic rights.
Syed Munawar Hasan slated the role of the human rights bodies who were blind to the atrocities being perpetrated on the Gaza Muslims.
He urged the other Muslim rulers to demonstrate solidarity with the Gaza Muslims by emulating the example of the Ameer of Qatar. He said that earlier, the Egyptian president Dr Morsi had taken the humanitarian decision of opening the Gaza border. However, he said that the persistent siege of Gaza called for a continuous attention and the Pakistan government must also send its delegations to Gaza in support of the Palestinians.
However, he said, it was unfortunate that the Islamabad rulers were not raising their voce in support of the Palestinians due to US pressure.
