Hits being ordered from jail

Orders for the killing of ASP Central Jail Pir Masood and DSP Abdul Razzak have been issued from Central Jail, Karachi. This was disclosed by Amir Hafiz Qasim, a member of banned Lashkar-e-Jhangzi, during interrogations.
He disclosed that orders for the killings of ASP Central Jail Pir Masood and DSP Abdul Razzak were issued from Central Jail Karachi and many arrested criminals belonging to outlawed organisations were giving out the orders of target killing from inside the jail.
Amir Hafiz further disclosed that a jailed leader of a banned outfit Wasim alias Baroodi had given the order for the killings of ASP Pir Masood and DSP Abdul Razzaq. He said Baroodi had issued this order through his close aide Kashif alias Bahari.
He also said that five of his close associates were still at large and their names are Sajid, Adnan, Danish, Kashif and Jaffar.
After this shocking disclosure, jail authorities sought the record of all visitors of prisoners linked with banned organizations. Security has also been beefed up around the prison.
CID police arrest 3 TTP men: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of police has arrested three members belonging to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) after conducting raid in Manghopir area of the city on Wednesday.
According to SP CID Aslam Khan, the police arrested the men who were involved in several incidents of target killings also. The arrested men are identified as Naimat Khan Mehsud, Baqi Khan Mehsud and Hameedullah Mehsud. Police also recovered hand grenades, other weapons and a vehicle from their custody.
6 Indian fishermen released: Pakistan released six Indian prisoners from jail in Karachi on Wednesday. The prisoners who had been detained for illegally fishing in Pakistan’s water were released as a good will gesture on the occasion of Eidul Azha.

Guard lays life to avert robbery

A guard from a private security company sacrificed his life to prevent a bank robbery. According to SP Clifton, Zameer Abbasi the robbery attempt took place at a private bank in the Gizri area. Four robbers entered the bank and took the guard Mohammad Warian hostage. During this time there was an exchange of fire between the robbers and the guard, in which the guard was injured. The robbers on the other hand fled the scene while leaving the money behind. The guard who exhibited exemplary bravery succumbed to his injuries later.

Five dead in violence

A tortured dead body was found in Lea Market area of Karachi on Wednesday morning, as five more persons were killed in the city in ongoing spate of violence. A dead body with torture wounds was found from Lea Market bus stop this morning, police said. Another man was shot dead in Machhar Colony. A man stabbed a girl to death while injured another woman in Abbas Town. In Neelum Colony of Clifton, a man was stabbed to death. An injured man in North Nazimabad succumbed to injuries in a hospital. Police have also arrested an alleged target killer from Samanabad.
