US must end militants’ safe havens, stop them from attacking Pak: Haji Adeel

Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Senator Haji Adeel has said that Pakistan and U.S. should continue to work together for peace in the region and the world at large.
Reconciliation process should continue for lasting peace in Pakistan and Afghanistan. He expressed these views in meeting with acting political counselor Rick Waters and Ms Brooks in his chamber here Tuesday.
Reciprocating the U.S. officials said that U.S. considers Pakistan a very important element to attain lasting stability and peace in the region and world at large and hence Pakistan’s role is crucial. The U.S. official condemned attack on Mala Yousafzai and offered all out support in this regard.
Senator Haji Adeel told that U.S. officials that such attacks cannot deter our resolve to route out militancy and extremism. He told the U.S. officials that there are safe havens of militants in Afghanistan and U.S. and NATO forces should stop them from acting against Pakistan. He said that Pakistan is being given a meager military assistance to fight the militants whereas U.S. is spending billions of dollars in Afghanistan without desired results. He said that our FC people lack fighting gadgets and we need Helicopters as well to fight terrorism.
