A total of 30 accomplished senior amateur golf players from all over Pakistan assembled at the Rawalpindi Golf Course to participate in the three days golf trials to select a six member seniors golf team for competing in the Asia Pacific Seniors Amateur Golf Championship 2012 due to be held at Hong Kong from 28th November 2012. After three days hectic trials the players who gained selection by virtue of their good performance were Imran Ahmed (Gymkhana, Lahore), Col (r) Mohammad Shafi (Lahore Garrison), Col (r) Asif Mehdi (Garrison), Col (r) Saud (Peshawar), and Brig (r) Nayyar (Rawalpindi). Taimur Hassan was the sixth member of the team exempted from the trials because he being a former Asia Pacific Seniors Champion. This was announced by Pakistan Golf Federation, Vice President, Maj Gen (r) Tariq Saleem Malik.
