PPP Central Punjab President Mian Manzoor Wattoo on Tuesday said the Punjab government was being run by a criminal. Talking to reporters, he said he appealed to Shahbaz Sharif to accept the court ruling in the Asghar Khan case and resign from the seat of chief minister. “The Supreme Court has given a clear order in the Asghar Khan case and everyone should accept it,” he said. Wattoo noted that the Sharif brothers advised the PPP to implement the court orders.
“The PPP has respected the orders of the apex court and disqualification of Yousaf Raza Gilani is an example, now Sharifs should follow suit,” Wattoo said. He said he would try to reconcile with the displeased workers of the PPP, adding that there was no disagreement with Imtiaz Safdar Waraich, the former PPP central Punjab chief. Wattoo added that every PPP worker would be treated justly.
