Prices of fruits and vegetables decrease

Prices of most fruits and vegetables have decreased in weekly bazaars however the price of tomatoes has registered an increase.
According to a rate list issued by Capital Development Authority Directorate of Municipal Administration, the price of tomatoes has increased. The current price of tomatoes is Rs 60 per kg, potatoes are being sold for Rs 80 to Rs 170 per five kg, onions for Rs 230 per five kg, lady fingers at Rs 44 per kg, brinjal for Rs 12 per kg, cauliflower for Rs 24 per kg, cabbage for Rs 24 per kg, green peppers for Rs 72 per kg, green chillies are being sold for Rs 60 per kg, black eye beans for Rs 30 per kg, turnips for Rs 26 per kg, cucumber for Rs 40 per kg, peas for Rs 124 per kg, bitter gourd for Rs 30 per kg, radishes for Rs 20 per kg and carrots are available for Rs 40.
According to the rate list, apples were available for Rs 40 to 80 per kg, bananas for Rs 25 to Rs 50 per dozen, guavas were available for Rs 100, grapes for Rs 120 to 170 per kg and dates for Rs 100 to 200 per kg.
