Eight Divisional teams took part in the Punjab Youth Festival Rugby 7s event at the DHA rugby Stadium in Lahore on Monday. It was an overall good day of rugby played in perfect weather and a lush green field, it was great to see a lot of new faces and the youth of Punjab taking up Rugby.This is the second part of the Rugby event in the Youth Festival the first match when matches took place at the divisional level. Where 3-4 teams played for the inter district rugby event In the Inter divisional event at the end of the pool games in Pool A Faisalabad and DG Khan went through to the semifinals and in Pool B Lahore and Multan went through. Multan just edged out Bawalnager to get through Pool B the stronger pool with the best 3 teams in the pool Lahore division went through winning all there games and look as favorites to take the title. They will take on DG khan in the semi final DG khan getting the luck of the draw being in a easier pool, the other semifinal will be between Multan and Faisalabad, Faisalabad took top spot in pool B as they scored more tries compared to DG khan, Multan looked good in the tournament and it seems they will meet Lahore in the final.
