Malala, a little torch-bearer of peace, spreading light of Islam by acting upon the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) — ‘seek knowledge from cradle to grave’ — has been attacked by the Taliban, who cowardly warned her not to study.
Their warning clearly shows that they are not aware of the first word of the Quran, ‘Iqrah’, or freedom of expression, the two main and important doctrines of Islam. Furthermore, they say ‘come to the path of Islam’.
If seeking knowledge is against Islam, then what is the right way to act upon the teachings of Allah and His Prophet (peace be upon him)?
According to their skewed approach, Malala was working for a foreign NGO. Suppose if they are right, then what’s wrong with working for an NGO and projecting a positive image of this beautiful valley of Swat?
It doesn’t matter for whom you are working but the motive and purpose matters a lot, which was education and peace. The brutality of these people clearly shows that they are unaware of Islam.
Their philosophy is purely based on radicalisation, embedded in their own thoughts and it has no link with Islam. So, they should stop beating the drum of their ‘path of Islam’. The government still has time to clearly state its policies against the Taliban.
