Surge in prolonged and unscheduled loadedshedding as the Eid-ul-Azha draws nearer has further added to miseries of the citizens of provincial capital.
According to details, people of Peshawar have to face hardships in preparations for Eid as loadshedding has increased during recent days. The tailors were specially affected of the situation as they have to sew the clothes of the people.
Sources said that four to six hours loadshedding was witnessed in urban areas while rural areas have to face prolonged loadshedding of more than eight hours daily.
The loadshedding has also adversely affected trade activities as people often visit markets in the evening for Eid shopping but due to absence of light they stay away from visiting markets due to fear of robbers, pickpockets and terrorist activities.
