The annual meeting of Defence Housing Authority (DHA) governing body was held at the Headquarters of 5 Corps on Monday and was chaired by Secretary Defence, Lt. Gen (Retd) Asif Yasin Malik.
According to an official DHA statement, 5 Corps Commander, Lt. Gen Muhammad Ijaz Chaudhry was also present on the occasion.
The defence secretary said that DHA Karachi had come a long way in emerging as a prestigious residential estate of the country which provided the best civic amenities and dynamic living environment to the residents.
He asked the housing authority to continue introducing new trends in the field of housing and civic management with a forward looking approach to ensure that DHA remained a versatile organization that would be capable of responding to future challenges.
DHA Administrator, Brigadier Muhammad Abdullah gave an overview of DHA and briefed the members of the governing body about the ongoing DHA development projects. DHA governing body chairman said that DHA City Karachi was a unique project which was testimony of DHA’s credibility and stability as a strong entity in the field of housing and development in the country.
