Rs1,500 approved as risk allowance for paramedics

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz sharif has decided to give a Rs 1,500 per month risk allowance to paramedics of grade 1- 4
Principal PGMI and LGH Prof Dr Anjam Habib Vohra made the announcement while addressing a reception hosted by Paramedical Staff Association, Lahore General Hospital on Sunday. He said that paramedics played a pivotal role in health care system and a hospital could not function without and effective participation of the paramedics. He told the participants that the list of all the genuine demands of paramedics would be sent to Punjab Health Department for approval. “The salaries of the employees in grade 1 to 4 who are facing inquiries have also been released,” he said, adding that he was personally monitoring the process of completing the service books of the employees. He said that the hospital administration was taking all possible steps for the welfare and up-gradation of paramedical staff.
He admired the services of paramedics during dengue eradication campaign and advised them to display decency and good manners while dealing with the patients. Aslam Sial and Rahmat Sandhu said that paramedics would extend their best cooperation to make the hospital a role model of cleanliness and excellent services.
