It has been revealed that Microsoft has removed Facebook and Twitter apps from the Xbox 360 as part of its mandatory dashboard upgrade ahead of the global roll out on October 23. It is believed that the platform holder has implemented the move in an effort to encourage Internet Explorer usage on the console which will be added for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.
