CEC sets aside impression of army or judiciary’s supervision of polls

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice (rtd) Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim brushed aside as misplaced the impression regarding next general elections being held under aegis of army or the judiciary.
Justice Ebrahim however noted Election Commission may ask for succor from Pakistan Army or the judiciary in the next general elections; instead, it will inspect the electoral process on its own account.
Talking to a private television news channel, the CEC asserted the letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry requests the review of judicial policy once again, adding it is not meant for supervision of the elections.
It should be mentioned here that judicial policy states the judicial officers cannot be appointed as Returning Officers; on this count, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) entreated the court to review the policy.

  1. I fully hope he should have full knowledge of games of bogus votes which are put in ballots by ghost people to alter the result as per decided in political cells made by joint venture of intelligence and political goons.
