Another factory goes up in flames

A fire broke out at a towel factory in New Karachi barely after a month had passed since a factory fire in Karachi took lives of at least 200 people. Per details, the fire broke out at the first floor of the factory and reduced the stock to ashes. Fortunately, no loss of life occurred in the accident. A team of fire fighters reached the factory and kick started the rescue efforts. Rescue sources evacuated the stranded to safety. It is pertinent to mention here that despite the orders of government to remove grills from the factories after the Baldia Town garment factory fire incident in which 300 workers were killed, many factory owners failed to follow the orders and there are many factories in Karachi whose windows are still secured by iron grills.
Rangers arrest nine
miscreants in Karachi: Three innocent citizens were killed and rangers arrested at least nine men including a ‘target killer’, in a series of operations on Sunday. The murdered were inhabitants of Orangi town and Hydri market area and Maripur. Meanwhile rangers conducted operations in Faqir Colony of Orangi Town and arrested nine criminals including a target killer wanted on charges of 12 murders. A spokesman of rangers said that the force conducted the operation dressed in civilian clothes.
Maritime security agency arrests 39 Indian fishermen: Maritime security agency of Pakistan arrested 39 Indian fishermen who had entered Pakistani waters in violation of international maritime limits. Per details, the maritime security agency confiscated seven boats owned by the fishermen. The fishermen were handed over to police for further investigation.
E&T discovers 320kg hashish : Sindh Excise and Taxation Department arrested two accused trades of narcotics and recovered 320 kilograms of hashish from their possession. Per details Sindh Minister Excise and Taxation Department Mukesh Kumar Chawla ordered police to arrested Nazar Muhammad Pathan. In a raid conducted to arrest Nazar, police recovered 120 kilograms of hashish from his truck (PKB-513) parked at Marhaba CNG station, off National Highway in Khairpur. Meanwhile, in another raid Excise and Taxation officials arrested Darya Khan and recovered 200 kilograms of hashish from his possession. Mukesh Kumar Chawla lauded the performance of Excise and Taxation Department Staff and police officials and vowed that all narcotic traders would be put behind bars.
