Abidi vows to commit suicide if he’s not given justice

Senator Faisal Raza Aabdi on Friday said he would commit suicide if the Supreme Judicial Council did not take action against Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry.
Abidi said he would kill himself outside the Chief Justice’s house on November 9 in protest and his murder case should be registered against Dr Arsalan Iftikhar and Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry and his body should be placed outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan and should not to be removed until the people get justice from Iftikhar Chaudhry.
“Nobody from Pakistan People’s Party should participate in my funeral,” he added.
Abidi said in 2005, Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry himself gave power to the Supreme Judicial Council under notice 113/05 empowering it to take action against any judge.
He noted that Article 209 allowed any person to take legal action against any judge.
The PPP firebrand said his case had reached the Supreme Judicial Council and that ‘his chief justice’ was Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jilani.
He added that he had fought a legal battle abiding by the law and the constitution, and if he did not get justice, he would take the path of violence.

As Nazia says, was he Drunk or sober when he said this, regardless he should do what he is threatning & ask the rest of Pakistani politicians from all parties to join him in this good deed, so that Pakistan can start from scratch with some new & honest politicians, Malala would make an excellent Prime Minister.

      • Yes it's his choice, don't mock someone's life. Mr Abidi needs psychiatric help. So many people can see he is not normal, yet no one helps. I thought you were called the ISLAMIC state of Pakistan…so help those in need and don't be aggressive or incite hate. Anyone watching him on tv can see he is wrong? Mocking someone who is ill is not Islamic nor are they human.

In the West this man could best be dealt through the Criminal Justice System and finally diverted to a secure hospital on an indeterminate sentence.

Suicide is not an easy thing to do or promise, it is a cry for help as well as a sign of mental illness. This man needs medical psychiatric help. If we do not treat our citizens on an equal base we can not achieve peace in Pakistan. No body should be above law for example a prasident of the country and a normal inhabitant should be equally treated. This will bring us peace.

  49. Chief Justice is not above the law. Neither is Abidi. Abidi should continue with his crusade, which is his greatest sin, to expose our judicial system which has so far failed to punish even a single religious terrorist. However, Abidi should not opt for suicide. It is not only an illegal act, it will but also provide an opportunity to religious extremists to rejoice.
