Shehzad town police Islamabad on Saturday conducted search operation in its various areas and nabbed a total of 50 suspects, a police spokesman said.
The search operation was conducted by Shehzad town police station in various areas including Sawan, Khana, and Pindorian. Under-construction buildings, houses, hotels were also checked and a total of 50 suspects were arrested who could not produce any document for their identification.
Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan, team of this police stations headed by SDPO and Station House Officer conducted search in these areas. Police team also arrested two persons Khalid and Kamran for having two 30 bore pistols while another drug pusher Kamran was arrested in possession of 1030 gram hashish.
IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have directed to expand this search operation in other areas of city and asked to ensure strict monitoring and vigilance of suspected elements. The purpose of starting search operation in various areas is to ensure foolproof security in the Capital, the IGP added.
