Minister for Political Affairs Maula Bakhsh Chandio has said that the Supreme Court verdict in Asghar Khan case would help strengthen democracy and add to the respect of the apex court.
In an interview he said the court has delivered a historic judgment‚ which would also help prevent interference of agencies in the electoral process.
The Minister said the credit goes to the present coalition government and the opposition for establishing an independent and sovereign Election Commission.
