The President of Pakistan Golf Federation, Gen Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani has lauded the outstanding performance of the two Pakistani golf professionals, Shafiq Masih and Mohammad Munir in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Golf Tour Championships. This was conveyed by Taimur Hassan, Honorary Secretary of Pakistan Golf Federation. Taimur also stated that by virtue of the superb achievements of these two professionals, PGF will pursue and obtain exemptions for them for playing in the Asian Golf Tour, without participating in the Qualifying Competitions. A week back, Shafiq Masih was the top one in the third segment of the MENA Golf tour event in Riyadh and two days back Mohammad Munir captured the fourth segment title in Ras ul Khaima, in UAE.
These two top golf professionals of Pakistan also confirmed that messages of felicitations had also been received from Brig (r) Akram of Punjab Golf Association, Asad I.A. Khan of Sind Golf Association, Col (r) Jameel Khalid of Royal Palm Golf Club, Fakhar Imam of Defence Raya and many prominent golfers like Jehangir Aziz, Imran Zubair, Waqar Saigol and Shafqat Rana, besides many others from Karachi, Rawalpindi and Peshawar.
