President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf have said that the political and military leadership would be taken on board before launching any new operation.
The consensus was reached when Prime Minister Ashraf called on President Zardari at the presidency on Thursday.
Sources said the prime minister apprised the president about his talks with the Kuwaiti leadership and other international leaders. The two leaders also discussed the situation in Balochistan, by-polls and consultation between the government and the opposition regarding legislation on certain bills, sources added. They added that Zardari said the PPP-led government respected the national institutions and did not want confrontation with any of them.
