Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said the PTI is a peace-loving party and never pursues war-like activities. Addressing a joint press conference at the Multan Press Club on Thursday, Khan said an army operation was not the only solution against Taliban.
He said if the PTI came to power, justice would be provided to the marginalised members of the society, labourers and farmers on a priority bases. “We will bring revolutionary changes in the society for the betterment and well-being of the people,” he said, adding the PTI was not a party of feudal lords or business tycoons but it represented the entire nation.
Khan said if the government did not fulfil the demands of the farmers, the PTI along with the farmers, would take to the roads in protest against the government.
About PTI Senior Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the PTI chairman said Qureshi would never leave the party, however, adding that there were a few people, who changed parties only for political and self-interest.
To a question, Khan said the issue of Seraiki province was under consideration within the party.
Qureshi and Javed Hashmi also addressed the press conference while Jahangir Tareen and Akram Mehmood also spoke on the occasion.
