The owner of Alhafaz Travel Agency, Haji Younas, escaped with Rs 10.85 million that he had collected from residents of different districts for sending them on haj, Pakistan Today has learnt. According to details, Younas had collected money for a haj package from over 61 people belonging to Dera Ghazi Khan, Laiya, Raheem Yar Khan, Vehari and Muzaffar Garh. A blind couple was also amongst those who fell victim to Younas’ fraud. The affectees told Pakistan Today that they were to gather at a place on Thursday to leave for haj but when they reached the spot, Younas was not there. They were not able to trace him even after calling him and visiting his office many times.
