The provincial government on Thursday directed the law enforcement agencies including police to remain on high alert in the city after unidentified militants attacked police check posts in Badhber and Bara Sheikhan area of Peshawar.
According to police sources, additional police contingents were deployed at the US consulate. Heavy contingent of police and FC personnel with latest weapons were patrolling in Matni, Badhber and other surrounding areas.
Armored personnel carriers were provided to all the police stations for monitoring the area. Police and other law enforcement personnel were deployed at Police Lines and other sensitive localities.
