Farooq Sattar opposes withdrawal of voting rights from overseas Pakistanis

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Parliamentary leader in National Assembly Dr Farooq Sattar has said that withdrawal of voting right from the overseas Pakistanis is violation of basic spirit of the constitution.
He stated this while addressing an award-distribution ceremony held at a local hotel here on Thursday.
Dr Farooq Sattar noted that the overseas Pakistanis have vital role in the national economy as they send billions of dollars foreign exchange back to country.
He was of the view that depriving Pakistani nationals staying across the globe of basic right of casting votes in general elections inside Pakistan would be against the basic spirit of the Constitution.
The Deputy Convener of the Muttahida’s Rabita Committee said that extremism poses the biggest challenge to the national security.
The federal minister gave away the awards to various people on outstanding performance in concerned fields.

  1. Overseas Indians belonging to the biggest democracy of the world don’t have the right of vote overseas as well as not having right of dual nationality.. And still serving,respecting and representing their country better than us without any propaganda against the state!!
