Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) has announced a schedule for its intra-party elections across the country, starting the campaign with the polls in Islamabad.
According to PTI official website, the complete voters list has been published and any complaint shall be received in Islamabad office until 19th October 2012.
Nominations will be open from 22nd to 24th October and finalized nominations will be announced on 25th October. The elections will be held on 2nd November.
According to senior vice president of PTI Hamid Khan, almost 58,000 members would cast their votes from Islamabad in the first phase of election.
“Voters can also cast their ballots through SMS,” Hamid Khan said.
He further said that after Islamabad, the election process would also be conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhua and Punjab, adding that the party election would be completed by December 2012.
