Further tightening of Adiala Jail security ordered

Inspector General Jails, Punjab, Mian Farooq Nazeer has directed the authorities concerned to further tighten the security of the Central Adiala Jail as incidents of sneaking mobile phones and other objects into the jails were increasing.
The IG also directed the Adiala Jail authorities to completely investigate and check the visitors before letting them see the prisoners and said if some police official was found involved in providing narcotics or other things to the prisoners, strict departmental action would be taken against him.
He said this while talking to the officials of the Adiala Jail in his recent visit to the jail. He inspected the security arrangements of the jail. Additional Superintendent Jail, Chaudhry Shabraiz Hussain, Deputy Superintendent Jail Judicial, Arshad Ali Warraich, Deputy Superintendent Jail Executive, Chaudhry Ilyas Ahmed and others were also present of the occasion.
Additional superintendents, in the briefing to the IG about the security and other arrangements in the jail, said that contingents of Elite Force, Punjab Police, Rangers and jail staff were deployed for the security of the jail.
