The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to get degrees of all its employees verified from the authorities concerned, as the Chief Syed Tahir Shahbaz had ordered the formulation of a new HR policy within a fortnight.
A senior CDA official said, “A committee headed by Member Administration has been assigned the task to formulate a new Human Resource policy, suggesting options for the criteria of recruitment as well as transfer.”
He said that as the number of CDA employees had increased manifold, and the authority lacked training systems for them, the policy would also suggest a training mechanism for CDA staffers whose work involved massive public dealing.
He said that with an increase in the number of employees, the workload and financial liability had also been increased but the output was not satisfactory.
He said that the CDA chairman had placed a ban on new recruitment until the new HR policy was finalized, adding that the committee had been tasked to table a policy draft before the CDA Board within two weeks.
The policy would also suggest criteria for postings of CDA officers on a rotation basis to ensure smooth working of CDA.
The officer said that FIA had asked CDA to have its employees’ degrees verified but the process was slow and would now have to be accelerated for an early completion.
