The police arrested a proclaimed offender while his cohorts managed to flee during a raid to recover kidnapped laborers here on Wednesday.
According to details, heavy contingent of police, in the supervision of DPO Karak, on a tip off conducted raid at a house located in Southern parts of the district to recover 25 laborers who were abducted a couple of days earlier.
The culprits present in house started firing and fled the scene. However, the police managed to arrest a proclaimed offender.
It should be mentioned here that due to surge in crimes rate in Karak, security has been beefed up. Search operations and raids were being conducted in various areas of the district against criminals to normalize the law and order situation.
Meanwhile, citizens have expressed grave concerns over increasing crimes and they have criticized the law enforcement agencies for their failure to overcome the situation.
