Capital Development Authority (CDA) has given the contract of the sacrificial animals market at 20 percent loss compared to last year’s bid. According to sources, contractors offered lower bids this year and a contractor, Raja Zahid, won the bid for Rs 5.26 million. Last year the same contractor had received the contract with Rs1.3 million more than the bid money this year.
According to CDA sources, all arrangements have been completed to establish the sacrificial animal market in Sector I-11/4. Parking, lights, sanitation and fire-fighting facilities would be provided in the market.
The chairman directed the enforcement department to ensure that sacrificial animals would be sold in the premises of the market. Strict action would be taken against any person found selling animals outside the market premises.
Military officials also believe a limited advisory mission will help maintain progress Afghan security forces made in recent years.
