A delegation of All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) comprising President Sarmad Ali, Chief Executive Business Recorder Arshad Zuberi and Nawa-e-Waqat Group Deputy Managing Director Rameeza Majid Nizami called on Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Wednesday.
The delegation discussed at length the threats of Taliban to Media Houses in the wake of highlighting attack on Malala Yousafzai issues extensively.
On the occasion interior minister assured the delegation that the government would provide security the under threat media houses. In this regard he directed conducting of security survey of these media-houses.
He informed the delegation that a seminar for the security of journalist community. He added that the government believes in freedom of press and will utilize all available resources for this cause.
