34 arrested in Karachi search operations, arms recovered

A robbers was killed and more than two dozen others apprehended during encounter and joint targeted search operation in various areas of the metropolis on Wednesday. The security forces recovered weapons and drugs from the possession of robber killed in fire exchange and nabbed culprits.
According to details, the police during routine patrol in Patel Parra area exchanged fire with a robber during which he was killed. The police recovered a snatched motorcycle, pistol and other valuables from the culprit killed in fire exchange. The deceased identified as Salman was wanted by various police stations in number of cases of murder, robberies and police encounters. His brother is already in jail for killing a police official.
The rangers launched operation in Haji Mureed Goth and Bakra Peeri areas and detained almost 20 suspects. The detainees have been shifted to undisclosed location.
The rangers also held six suspects during operation in Gulistan e Johar
Meanwhile, police carried out operation in Kiswari Colony of Mangopir area and detained eight people.
Separate cases have been registered in all cases in concerned police stations and investigations were in progress.
