15 outlaws arrested; 3.150 kg hashish and wine recovered

Islamabad Police have arrested 15 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 3.150 kilogram hashish, seven wine bottles, three pistols and stake money worth thousands of rupees from their possession, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.
According to details, Sub-Inspector Rab Nawaz and ASI Shabbir Ahmed from Tarnol police station arrested a woman Paloosha Khan and recovered 1.150 kilogram hashish from her while another accused Irfran was arrested for having one 30 bore pistol. Sub-Inspector Javed Iqbal from Shehzad town police station arrested Humayun Khan during routine patrolling and recovered two kilogram hashish from him. ASI Asif Khan from Golra police arrested Yasir in possession of 30 bore pistol while Sub-Inspector Shafqat Mehmud nabbed two drug pushers for having heroin.
ASI Ashfaq Ahmed from Shalimar police arrested Indryas Masih for possessing seven wine bottles. On a tip off, Sub-Inspector Mazhar Iqbal from Shehzad town police station raided at the gambling den and recovered stake money, four mobile phones and pistols from them.
The nabbed gamblers have been identified as Shaukat Hussain, Sahmraiz, Ashraf, javed, Asim Abbassi, Tahir Khan, Rab Nawaz and Perveen . Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to intensify vigilance as well as patrolling in their respective areas to curb activities of anti-social elements.
