Two matches were decided in Amar Cables T-20 Veteran Cricket Tournament here on Monday at two different venues.
In the first match, SPM Stags beat Khayaban-e-Ameen by 5 wickets at Ali Garh cricket ground.
Scores: Khayaban-e-Ameen batted first 138/8 in 20 overs. Faisal Peerzada 29, Ashfaq Heera 23, Sajid Anwar 19, Ameer Ali 18 runs & Fayyaz Butt 13 runs not out. SPM Stags bowling Imtiaz Tarar 4/20, Rehan Rouf 2/34 & Khawaja Naseer-ud-din 1/11 wickets.
In reply SPM Stags answered with139/5 in 18.1 overs. Shakeel Malik 44 runs not out, Imtiaz Tarar 38 & Zahoor Ilahi 14 runs. Khayaban-e-Ameen bowling Bilal Rana 2/27, Faisal Mehmood 1/18, Ameer Ali 1/19 & Hafiz Bilal 1/24 wickets. Rana Sohail Manzoor and Sagheer Ahmad were umpires& Syed Najam-ul-syed was the scorer.
In the second SPM Bucks beat DHL by 80 runs at Shah Faisal Cricket ground. SPM Bucks batted first 154/8 in 20 overs. Nadeem Aslam 38, Khalid Habib 30, Saud Cheema 22 & Tauseef Mughal 13 runs not out. DHL bowling Ejaz Ahmad 4/18, Zafar Iqbal 1/25, Khubaib Syed 1/24 & Tahir Mehmood 1/17 wickets. In reply DHL were bowled out 74/8 after 20 overs. Umar Arshad 19, Muhammad Javeed 16 & Umar Farooq 13 runs. SPM Bucks bowling Ashfaq Aslam 3/7, Zahid Khan 2/4, Nadeem Baig 1/5, Khalid Habib 1/7 & Imtiaz Shah 1/21 wickets. Umpires were Ansar Mehmood and Muhammad Shafiq and Qasim Shafiq acted as the scorer.
