Terrorist attacks cannot shake govt’s resolve to fight terrorism: Hoti

Khyber Pakthunkhwa Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said on Monday that cowardly terrorist attacks on the police and on Malala Yousafzai could not shake the government’s resolve in fighting terrorism, a handful of elements would not be allowed to impose their agenda on the majority.
He spoke to media representatives at the funeral prayers held for Khurshid Khan and his colleague who lost their lives while fighting militants in the Mathani area. The chief minister said that terrorists would not be allowed to regroup and disturb the peace of Peshawar and KP. He said that peace in Afghanistan and FATA was imperative for the establishment of durable peace in KP. He was of the view that peace in Afghanistan, FATA and KP was interlinked.
The chief minister said that consistent support of the masses was necessary to uproot the scourge of terrorism. He lauded the bravely and gallantry of Shaheed Khurshid Khan and his fellow who stood like a rock in the way of militants and foiled their nefarious designs. He said that SP Khurshid was a great asset to the country and his sacrifice had added another chapter of chivalry in the history of Khyber Pakthunkhwa Police.
