Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday announced the setting up of a hostel for poets, writers and intellectuals in Lahore during a meeting with writers, intellectuals and poets belonging to different provinces at Model Town. The CM said that writers and poets coming from other provinces would be able to stay at the hostel which would help in the promotion of dialogue between the intellectuals of different provinces and bring them close together. He said that all necessary facilities would be provided to the intellectuals, writers and poets at the hostel. The intelligentsia thanked the CM for setting up a hostel for them and observed that he was the only leader who had encouraged them. Intellectual Ghazi Salah-ud-Din said that the CM had followed the path of realistic thinking. Senior anchor and columnist Salim Safi said that the role of Nawaz Sharif and CM Shahbaz Sharif was very vital in the elimination of extremism. Furthermore, columnist Raees Fatima while paying glowing tributes to the Punjab CM said that Sindh also needed such a personality who could encourage positive changes. Moreover, Atta-ul-Haq Qasmi said that CM was imbued with the spirit of public service and possessed revolutionary thinking.
