Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has arrested 21 outlaws besides busting a gang involved in blind murder as well as theft and recovered seven pistols, stolen valuables and 4.225 kilogram hashish from their possession, a police spokesman said on Monday.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq assigned the task to SP (Investigation) Mustansar Feeroz to trace the gangs involved in murder, dacoities and theft incidents. SP (Investigation) constituted special teams under his supervision including In-Charge CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon, Sub-Inspectors Muhammad Asghar Bhatti, Zulfiqar Ahmed, Saleem Ullah, Muhammad Ali, ASI Tariq Rauf, Zafar Iqbal, Haider Shah, Shahid Muneer and others.
CIA police succeeded to arrest 21 persons identified as Jaffer Khan, Ghulam Murtaza, Kamran, Naveed Akhtar, Arshad Khan, Iftikhar Ali, Tasawur Hussain, Shehbaz Yaqub, Abbass Ali, Afzal, Ramzan, Jameel, Javed, Salah Uddin, Akhtar Zaman, Nabeel, Asad Abbass, Nawab Shah, Naeem Ahmed, Taj Muhammad and Nadir Hussain. Cases have been registered against these persons at Sabzi Mandi, Ramana, Margallah,
Shehzad town, Koral, Tarnol and Secretariat police stations for involvement in blind murder, dacoities, theft, drug pushing and possessing illegal weapons.
Police also recovered seven pistols, mobile phones, stolen valuables, 4.225 kilogram hashish from their possession and further investigation is underway from them. IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan has appreciated this overall performance and directed to continue efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements.
