Deepalpur City Police on Sunday registered a criminal case against three alleged land grabbers in the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) Mananging Director (MD), Rao Tehsin Ali Khan’s agriculture land case on the directions of the court.
Additional Sessions Judge Deeplapur, Muhammad Ashraf had directed the police to institute a case against Shabbir Ahmed, Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal and Mumtaz Ahmed Chajchar on charges of deception and fraud for forging documents for fraudulent purposes and misleading the public.
Rao submitted an application in the court of the additional sessions judge, pleading that a criminal case should be registered against the alleged land grabbers for grabbing his land by tampering with the agreement made on November 1, 2010 for the development of a housing society on the 15 acres of land owned by the Associated Press of Pakistan MD.
The applicant also maintained that Shabbir, Iqbal and Mumtaz had forged documents and presented a fake agreement with the intent to grab his inherited land in a bid to deceive the public.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had already constituted a high-level committee to look into the land-grabbing case.
