Cops suppress protestors by force

Police raided houses of various activists of nationalist organizations and registered FIR against them as the protests continue in different parts of province against Sindh People’s Local Government Ordinance (SPLGO) here on Sunday.
Different processions were taken out in Larkana, Badeh, Dokri, Kamber Shahdadkot and other parts of Sindh by JSQM, STPP, SUP, JSQM (Aresar), SNP and others in protest against SPLGO and called it a division of Sindh by the PPP and MQM.
The police registered FIRs against 10 activists of JSQM including Momin Odho, Yakoob Arbani, Zafar Langah and others, while raided at various locations in Larkana district sources told.
The protesters staged demonstration and foot March from Badah to Dokri and blocked highway for several hours and protests against dual systems in Sindh province.
They said the rulers have succumbed to the MQM pressure as well as the lust of power agreed to divide Sindh, but the dual system of local government in the province will not tolerated.
Sindh Adabi Sangat (SAS) and Sindh Writers Forum (SWF) took out a rally against the SPLGO, the representatives of Civil Society including writers, poets, singers, artists, lawyers, doctors and other literary people from all walks of life of Sindh participated on the occasion.
On the occasion intellectuals rejected the new LG bill and termed it anti Sindh document and called for to repeal it at once.
SAS and Sindh Writers Forum leaders will pay visits to all villages and cities of Sindh to convey their message, on the occasion, renowned intellectual Dr Dur Muhammad Pathan announced to return his Presidential Award to government in protest against controversial LG bill 2012.
