Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah visited the residence of Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Imdad Pitafi on Saturday night to express solidarity with him and assured him of full support on behalf of PPP regarding provision of security.
PPP-MPA Imdad Pitafi’s residence in Hyderabad was attacked by unidentified gun men last week. The CM said that no one could frighten the leaders and workers of the party of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. He said that “over the last 45 years of our political struggle, we have faced dictatorships and rendered all kind of sacrifices to protect the rights of people especially those who belong to the lower economic strata and hail from minority groups”. He said that no one should lecture PPP on how to safeguard the rights of Sindh because it had been doing the same since the day the party was created. He said that “the opponents are afraid of the deep love and following the PPP commands amongst the people of Sindh,”
