Nine months down the wedding, actor Riteish Deshmukh shares the success mantra for a happy married life. “Learn to listen to the wife, yes it works,” says Riteish answering to a query on the adjustments that he made post getting married to longtime girlfriend and actor Genelia D’Souza in February.
Genelia on a more serious note added, “To a large extent it is made to believe marriage will change your life … this will happen and that will happen. I mean we have been together with each other for so long and marriage has not changed anything … we are pretty much the same … barring little things that we would happily adjust with. Two individuals who adapt to each other without making it a big deal in that zone little adjustments happen but nothing dramatic and drastic.”
Ritesh and Genelia were in Delhi recently for a Mercedes Benz promotional event, and seemed to be having fun in each other’s company. “Being together again at a professional level is an exciting thing,” says Riteish, who is right now looking forward to many more adventures in life.
“I have never done bungee jumping, so I want to do that … there is huge roller coaster on the terrace of some hotel in Las Vegas, and Genelia is more keen to try it out than I am,” he adds.
Though they have come to terms with the little adjustments that one needs to make after marriage, ‘time management’ is still a problem. “One thing that I can’t manage well is time and my wife complains about it,” says Riteish.
